China is set to strengthen its strategic communication and practical cooperation with Russia, as confirmed by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning. This development comes amid the visit of Nikolai Patrushev, Russian Presidential Aide and Chairman of Russia’s Maritime Board, to China. Mao stated that the visit would serve as an opportunity for both nations to deepen bilateral ties and further their comprehensive strategic partnership.

This visit marks Patrushev’s first trip to China in his capacity as Chairman of Russia’s Maritime Board. During his stay, he is scheduled to meet with Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, along with other Chinese officials. These discussions are expected to focus on enhancing bilateral relations and maritime cooperation.
Both China and Russia are seeking ways to increase coordination in maritime matters and advance shared interests. The visit underscores the intention of both countries to explore new avenues for cooperation and solidify their strategic partnership in the maritime domain.
