Türkiye and China are marking 55 years of diplomatic relations with a focus on deepening their partnership across various sectors. The two nations have a long history of interaction, dating back to the ancient Silk Road, which historically served as a bridge for trade, cultural exchanges, and diplomatic contacts. Türkiye has bolstered its diplomatic presence in China by opening multiple consulates, which has facilitated increased economic engagement. Both governments are committed to enhancing cooperation in pivotal sectors such as artificial intelligence, green energy, infrastructure, and commerce.
Ambassador Selçuk Ünal of Türkiye highlighted that the collaboration is grounded in mutual interests and shared perspectives on various international and regional matters.
